Volunteer for India joined hands with the Lakshadweep Surf Club to create ‘Volunteer for Lakshadweep’, a community development program. The project aimed to increase the understanding and capacity of island youth and school students to reduce plastic pollution of the marine environment and to help the coral reefs in Lakshadweep.

The 50+ volunteers received awareness and hands-on practical sessions on healthy lifestyle, marine environment and surfing. Each session was led by an experienced faculty in the field.
