Good Deeds Day is a global movement of people who are dedicated to doing good.
Since 2007, millions of people and thousands of organizations from over 118 countries unite annually to volunteer and #DoGood.
To celebrate Good Deeds Day, Volunteer for India aims to engage over 10000 volunteers across India in ‘doing good’ between April 7th and April 28th, through structured volunteering campaigns.
How can I celebrate Good Deeds Day?
Celebrate with VFI between April 7th and April 28th, 2024
Celebrate in your College / Office
Celebrate a day of doing good in your College/ Office with VFI. Chose from and implement a set of specially curated volunteering activities.
Lead a Campaign in your Community
Explore your leadership skills while spreading good in your community. Be a torchbearer of kindness and enable 10 or more members of your community to volunteer by initiating and leading campaigns structured by VFI.
Be a Volunteer
Be a Volunteer for Good Deeds Day campaigns in your city and celebrate doing good. If your city does not have any Good Deeds Day projects initiated by VFI, our team can support you in setting up and initiating one there.
The following are some of the events the you will be supported in implementing in your cities:
Seedball Making
Creating small balls of soil and seeds to promote reforestation and planting them .
Clean up Drives
Removing trash and debris from surroundings to promote environmental conservation.
Old Age Home Visit
Visiting and spending time with elderly residents in nursing homes.
Setting up a Library
Collecting books for children living in orphanages to promote education and literacy.
Resource Collection Drives
Collecting cloths and other provisions for individuals living in shelters.
Food Distribution Drive
Collecting and donating food items to individuals experiencing food insecurity.
