Abstract

The pandemic has taken over the world; the challenges posed to public health systems are enormous. This study intends to bring out perspectives of the doctors and impact on their mental health amidst global pandemic, which has been unnoticed so far. The research study project explores the issues of mental health and further delves into the trajectories and to understand how well equipped healthcare systems, health governance, system responsiveness and efficacy are that plays a crucial role in addressing COVID-19. Rajasthan’s health system fails to address mental health issues, amiss on the discourses of mental health and support structures in place. The study focuses on bridging the lack of evidence on the ground to build resilient support systems for the doctors and seeing mental health as a standalone issue.
